Modern herb pipe “serpent and foliage” with carb, wood fired wild clay, 5″
$55.00
This pipe may be based on a modern glass blown herb pipe, but has the look and feel of an ancient relic from a forgotten place and time. With its hollow pinched form body and its generous and easy to find carb hole, it functions in every way like a glass piece, but i find the more breathable nature of unglazed clay to provide a smoother and cleaner tasting smoke time after time than the perpetually humid interior of a glass bowl. Nobody likes a stinky pipe. This also feature a wide and just deep enough bowl to promote a smoother and cleaner burn. All of this, and i have not yet mentioned the beautiful decorative patterns that adorn the piece. This pipe features classic foliate patterns inspired by very old designs with a friendly serpend slithering through the leaves. The entire design is hand drawn first using a long iron needle, then carefully pressed into the still soft clay with thousands of careful pokes with a variety of hand carved wooden tools.
As always, thisnpiece is hand fashioned using hand dug wild clay, and fired to over 2350F in my wood burning kiln. This yields a piece which is both very sturdy, and will be just as at home in your stash box, or on your coffee table, as it will be in your pocket or backpack on a long hike. It is 5″ long, and perfect for herbs of your choosing (what you do in reguards to law is on you, this is art, but i discourage persons under legal age from smoking, its bad for ya)
