These little flask jugs are perfect for the spooky person who wants to have a little strong beverage on the go. Perfect size for sharing with a friend around a bonfire, storing one of your favorite poisons, or as a nice little conversation piece
Like all of my ware, this began as a lump of local clay which i dig and process by hand. After i carefull wheel turn the form, i add and pull a just right handle before freehand sketching the pattern with an iron needle. Though the skulls are based on very old tombstone art, i make sure to add my own flair and make sure that each one is absolutely unique. The back is inscribed with the ominous invitation “pick your poison”.
After drying and bisque fire, i dip the flask in a handmade traditional inspired wood ash glaze, and fire to over 2350F in my wood fueled kiln. The intense heat of the kiln means this puece is very sturdy, completely food safe, and even dishwasher safe if you wish.
