The amercan dogwood bloom is one of the most magical things to see in carolina, it always gives me hope and is a sure sign that spring has come. This dogwood branch in full bloom has been completely hand drawn by me before carefully pressing it into the body of the jug in deep relief using a variety of wooden tools over many hours.
As always, this jug is hand made using local wild clay, it is dressed in a hand formulated nuka glaze made from wood as and stone dust, and has been fired to over 2350f in my friends gas kiln to make it very durable and completely food safe
